A new friend (part XVII)
"I have no idea. It didn't sound like one of the others." Teru said and instinctively put one arm around Hisashi's shoulder in a protective way, pulling him closer. The younger one blushed what kept unseen and leaned in a bit, grabbing Teru's shirt as another scream shocked them. A few minutes they stood there like this, breathing flatly and listening if there will be another cry like this but nothing more happened. Being close to Teru, Hisashi felt his heartbeat becoming faster by every second and he looked up, finally being able to see some of the other's features. As it happens Teru looked down right then, straight into the smaller one's eyes. That time Hisashi just could not resist and closed the distance between their lips to kiss Teru softly and finally touch these smooth lips he adored for such a long time, as it seems to him, by now. In reality it took not more than 10 seconds until they parted but to Hisashi it seems to be a long and wonderful time till, yeah till he realized what he has done.
Teru was really stunned as he suddenly saw Hisashi coming closer and kissing him but he didn't back away. For some reason he didn't feel like, he more felt excitement and joy when their lips met. Really odd. 'What's going on? What's happening to me?' He asked himself, still holding the other boy close and searched for an answer within Hisashi's face, but didn't get any.
Hisashi looked down immediately when he saw the surprised and studying gaze of Teru. 'It's over. It'll never be like before. Will he hate me now?' He could not help but shudder at his last thought. Somehow he felt like he's lost something very important and would never get it back, so he lifted his gaze once again, his dark eyes reflecting the sadness and insecurity he felt.
Noticing the expression on the other's face Teru felt a prick in his heart what gave him the impulse to let go of Hisashi and cup the younger one's cheeks with his hands, to lift his chin and kiss him. There was uncertainty as well as passion within this sweet kiss and it lasted much longer than their first one. Finally breaking away, the two stared at each other, both not really able to believe what just has happened and very confused about their feelings. Teru's hands now laid on Hisashi's shoulders, a questioning expression within his eyes and then he hugged Hisashi. His thoughts were practically racing at that moment so he thought this would calm him down a little bit. And it really did.
"Why are you just so damn cute?" Teru asked and sighed, burring his lips within the other's hair.

Hearing the two screams Lida, Daishi, Jiro, Yuana and Takuro as well as Aya, Seek, Yura and Kazu gathered in the entrance hall and realized Teru and Hisashi were missing.
"What was that?" Is there anybody playing a trick on us or what? And the more important question: Has anybody seen Teru and Hisashi?" Takuro was the first one to ask but everyone shook his head, shrugged or disagreed. Then one person scratched his head, seemingly having some kind of flashback.
"I saw them walking over there." Kazu said and pointed to the left side of the hall, blinking a few times as Takuro enlightened his face with his torch. All of them moved their flashlights the direction Kazu motioned to.
"I'll search them. They can't be too far away." Jiro walked to the first door left and opened it, using his torch to look if there's someone inside but discovered nothing than old furniture and many cobwebs. "Teru? Hisashi?" He asked to be sure and then closed the door as there was no reply. Following the blonde's example the others started to search through the rooms too.

Suddenly the door was opened harshly and someone came in, holding a candle far away from himself and looking for something. Eventually he noticed them standing almost in the middle of the room and holding each other. A snicker could be heard when Teru and Hisashi let go hurriedly and stared at the intruder, blushing as they did.
"Come with me. They are searching for you." The person demanded and the two did what they were told, looking at each other curiously. 'Who is that?' Was what crossed their minds but neither of them could imagine who it could be. The stranger lead them out of the room and they were suddenly confronted with a cruel flashback, bloody meat everywhere. It was just a second and too fast for them to really realize. Suddenly a blond haired teenager appeared in front of them and they crashed, causing the boy to fall backwards.
"Oh, sorry!" Daishi apologized and looked up, his eyes widening as he saw some candle light behind Teru and Hisashi but after blinking there was nothing but darkness.
"What's with you?" Teru asked kind of amused to the almost shocked expression of the blonde. "It's not like we're monsters or something like this." He chuckled and helped Daishi to stand up.
"I thought...ah, forget it." He answered and smiled at them. "I'm glad we found you. There was this terrible cry and then you two weren't there. We were worried, you know."
"We heard that too. But...as you can see we're okay." A slight blush appeared his face when he thought of the past events and looked at Hisashi, noticing he had slight red cheeks too.
"Heey, guuuys! I found them." Daishi yelled and not much time passed until they were surrounded by all their friends and Kazu.
"Damn, Teru! I was worried. Where have you been?" Takuro let out his anger and looked at him expectantly.
"Ah, they want to be on their own, I guess." Aya chuckled when both of them blushed a bit more.
"Oh Aya, just shut up! There are more important things than this right now." The pink haired was put in his place by Lida. "I think everyone heard this scream. What do you think where it comes from?"
"As I said before: Maybe someone wants to play a trick on us." Takuro repeated what he'd said back then.
"But...but no one knows we're here." Seek pointed out and looked around fearful, still close to Aya.
"Yeah, right. Something's going on here." Daishi joined the conversation, a bit frightened too.
"So why don't we just try to find out?" Jiro suggested.
"Hai, I wanna find out....but how?" Yuana exclaimed enthusiastically.
"I don't know. Let's look upstairs maybe?" His brother shrugged and motioned to the spiral staircase.
So they walked over there, unaware of what might await them upstairs in the dark, dark second floor.
