I was desperately searching for something more upbeat after Beloved and Baseball Saved Us, and let's face it, the title Dixieland Sushi would get anyone's attention. So happy for you about finding this! There were several other posters who had similar reactions to books they reviewed here, that they had finally found a reflection of *themselves* in print. I know that feeling!

Also it sounds like a really neat book.
