That was pretty much my exact reaction to Night Wanderer--good concept, good dialogue, fell flat. He just doesn't seem to have quite figured out a voice as a novelist.

I'm interested in looking at more of his work, but I'd probably get eye-twitchy if I had to slog through another novel in the same style.
