I had POV issues, too, and the guy with the awful dialect was just unreadable.

But you're right, the characters ROCKED. And I loved getting to read some urban fantasy that wasn't all fairies & Irish folklore. I dont' generally like urban fantasy at all because the cities don't feel real, and in this one not just the city but the neighborhoods were distinct and detailed.

Plus, you have to love a character who moves the stack of comics off his table and lists the titles. Geekiest book ever.

So I checked out this book from the library and after the first chapter I'm not sure I want to continue. The pseudo-intellectual snob viewpoint has already turned me off. Should I continue on or is this the general idea of what the book will continue to be like?
