OK, so I'm almost a full month behind in posting this poll, which I had intended to post immediately after the new year. But it's not too late, right?? I'm going to try to re-post links to this poll for a week or two, and then compile the results of the "Best book of 2007" so that I can link to it in the community sidebar, since I think results ( Read more... )

I think if you added to guidelines/rules that any cover art should be a certain size or under else request that they be put behind a LJ-cut, then I think the majority of people would stick to that, lessening the problem of the huge pictures.

i honestly do hope to see more reviews being written cuz i usually pick up from these reviews and actually find quite a few interesting. also, it'd be better if there'd be more postings and discussions goin on bout certain books. oh. and better tags for books...heee.

ive really enjoyed being a part of the group and hope to complete the challange this year! good luck to everyone!!

Better tagging from members-too many don't use any tags at all, which makes it difficult to find recs.

Maybe a quarterly "rec the best of your list so far", to get some conversation & suggestions going.

I LOVE this comm and appreciate it very much!

I like realpestilence's suggestion of a quarterly review of 'best of the year so far' - that would be interesting and get people talking and reading different things.

My major peeve on this site is the number of people who post not their own opinions about the book, but take their information from Amazon or from the book jacket. I could go to a bookstore or to Amazon to get that information! Is there anything that could be feasibly done about this annoyance? Or am I the only one annoyed? [entirely possible!!]
