I think the oversized ones should be but a small discreet one is fine. I usually resize mine from 120-130px wide so its just over icon size.

I agree. Thumbnail-sized pictures are just fine. It's only the huge ones that bother me.

I don't see a problem with small pictures of the books. If you were reading reviews anywhere else you'd see the covers.

I agree with the "smaller images are okay" bit. What gets me is the folks who need to write their posts in 20 pt Arial, either in black or some horrid shade of teal, un-cut. *That* makes my eyes twitch more than the images.

Oh gawd yes. I actually can't read the darker fonts so essentially those don't get read because I have a dark background on my journal so skip over.

I think I just stick with the default font...but for me there are some small fonts LJ'ers use that I can't read. Gah.

I like to use the book cover pics from Amazon with a link. They are pretty small but you can still see the detail.

I just thought of this...If we have to cut the pictures of the book covers, if we have a spoiler cut, it will be visible if they click the picture cut link.

Good point. I am hoping she opts for the smaller pictures being ok.
