OK, then! Time for a poll!

Well. In the first 24 hours that we've been in the spotlight, we've acquired over 750 new members and have logged 380 posts. I know that this is putting a strain on the FLs of our faithful members, so I'm asking for some patience for the duration of the spotlight. I'm sure things will settle down eventually

Would you think me absolutely insane if I told you that as I've been eyeballing the results, I've considered doing an overall top 20 or so, and then also sorting them by genre and giving a top 20 by fiction, non-fiction, young adult, etc? Yes. That might be crazy.

Oh, and then I was thinking about posting the top 20 one at a time and asking the people who voted for that particular book to comment about why they chose it, and bookmarking each of those reviews? :D

I think that has to be the hardest poll I've ever done. I've read so much that I don't list books according to favorite titles, but by authors. *wry grin* I'm up to almost a dozen authors that I buy the moment their book hits the shelf in hardcover. Thankfully one rarely prints in hardcover, so her books are a little more affordable. *chuckles*

I had a hard time doing this as well. Didn't know whether to list the books which had the most impact, or left a huge impression or whether to list the books I keep reading over and over and over again. I decided to go with the latter.
I can't imagine all the work that would go in the sorting of this information. Good luck!

What a rush... filling out the poll and looking at the results only to find that the very first person to take it has the same favourite book as I :)
