Back Cover Summary:

They were on vacation in Jerusalem, a strange family bound together by a hatred for their matriarch - the monstrous and evil Mrs. Boynton. A woman of no redeeming features, she had delightedly driven a beautiful young girl to the edge of madness and already held a brother and sister in a web of invidious terror. Her thirst for vengeance and tortture was insatiable.

But now in the dark shadows od a desert night, Mrs. Boynton lay dead. There was no doubt the she had been murdered, nor were any tears shed over the crime; but it was up to Hercule Poirot to find the killer, with everyone a suspect, every suspect providing a motive - and every motive a possible lie...

My Review:

Gods, the suspense! It kept me devouring every page. I just knew the ball would drop, but when? When it did, things got somehow even more exciting and I couldn’t put the book down. The end certainly did surprise me, because the story has you following certain theories that may turn out to be wrong. The last chapter reminded me of the Epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but in a good way. Nice way to end things off.
