Hey guys! At the moment I'm working on a painting in Photoshop of the Tenth Doctor, and since I know a lot of you are mind-blowing at this sort of thing, I was hoping for a bit of advice.
I think that's a pretty damn fine effort, actually. The only thing I've ever just flat out done in photoshop was black and white so I don't think I have that much of use to contribute, but you seem to have been doing pretty well so far!
I'm a Painter whore so I'm not much help with photoshop. But if you need a colour theory guru, you can poke me, I don't mind. I'd have to see what other colours you'd be using in the artwork before I can suggest any changes, really. :O
Oh wow, this is brilliant!! I do use layers, a bit obsessively actually, and I'm dead hesitant to merge anything. At all. But seriously, this is the best set of advice I could've asked for! I worked on it a bit this morning with your tips and it looks so much better --- see for yourself! It still needs work, obviously, but I think the outcome is looking a lot better than it did before.
Thank you so, so much for helping me out. This painting business is real tricky. (:
