A New Direction
When I started this community almost 2 years ago (wow! time flies when you're having fun!), I seriously thought it would be a place that I would hang out and post some of my writing and make up prompts for myself. I never once imagined there would be ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY people that would join me! I'd run my share of prompt communities but I'd never made banners before. I'd thought of plenty of neat ideas but I'd never tried to turn them into challenges. This was a learning experience for me from day one.
To all of you who have decided to come along on this journey with me, THANK YOU! All of you are really awesome! You've been incredibly patient with me as I've tried to figure out how to make it fun and challenging without being too over-the-top or time-consuming.
My goal here has always been to work WITH other communities, not against them. The idea is that these prompts help you create but that your works shouldn't stop here. They should be able to be used in conjunction with other challenges (anything from drabbles to big bangs) and are open to just about any fandom.
I've been wanting to change things up lately but I've needed feed back which is why I've posted some of my ideas. Thank you to everyone who commented. You've all been a great help!
Prompt tables are going to stay the same. Challenges (and those special banners) are going to stay the same. The only thing that is changing is the banners you get for completely the prompt tables. One of the reasons that I'm moving to not quite so personal prompt finishing banners is because there are OVER 50 tables now and there are 15 of you who have finished at least one of the tables. While I would love to make a banner for every single one of you, I'm running out of room to store them! The Twenty Five Stories Banners will be personalized as will any challenge banners.
