Sorry. But if it's any consolation, I'd have probably written it a little differently. Of course it would be totally un-1800s. lol. And I haven't finished it yet. I might completely change my mind when I get to the end.

Yeah, I like Darcy. And I wish Elizabeth would've just admitted her feelings for him at least to herself. I mean, he was pretty much all she thought about up until [well, & after] the proposal.

Okay, I just have to ask, [without spoilers, please] what didn't you like about it?

Yeah, if I'm not really paying attention I end up having to read over a page or a paragraph a few times. I like some of the language, I mean if I really get into it and read the parts in different voices [like I do with Agatha Christie]. And I think I can understand the 'bubble' because she wants you to focus more on the present events than the time in which they took place, of course that's only an inference.

Yeah, but she's not as bad as some of them.

I kind of like romantic stories. I like murders more but romance is nice.
I'll have to check out Swann's Way. It sounds really familiar though. I must have heard of it somewhere and forgotten about it.
My mom got the newer film version but I'm waiting until I've finished the book to watch it.
It's hard to believe that something's too British, but then again I suppose that can happen.

I see your points, although I may not agree with all of them.
And it's okay. I heart epic comments. =)
