LAS - Challenge Four
CHALLENGE FOUR
I just want to thank everyone again who made the Third Challenge a huge success. Now on to Challenge 4. ♥
Participants, please remember that with each LAS challenge post, there will be 2 sets of guidelines: the Standard Guidelines and the Challenge-Specific ones. Please make sure you read them carefully before submitting your story. The Standard Guidelines will most likely stay the same, however the Challenge Specific Guidelines will change each round.
Standard Guidelines
- Entries must center around Arthur and Gwen.
- Do not post your work elsewhere, indicate to anyone which may be yours, or have a beta-reader* for any pieces until after voting is complete.
*But please be sure to proofread and do your best to catch any spelling or grammar issues.
- Entries must be new works based around the prompt, written within the challenge's 10 day period.
- Must be between 500 and 1000 words in length
- One entry per person per challenge.
- There is no rating limit.
- Include a word count, rating and title with your post; you are not required to post spoiler warnings, but please include the appropriate warnings for any dark, violent or sexual content.
- The winner of the challenge gets immunity the following week. Immunity means they cannot be eliminated in that round.
- Respond to this post immediately if you are using your skip.
- Each participant automatically gets a skip. If you happen to earn 600 lj tokens that will get you your second and final skip. However, you may not use two skips consecutively.
- If you do not indicate that you are using a skip, and don't respond to the challenge, you will be disqualified.

Challenge-Specific Guidelines
- Your story can be set ONLY in Modern AU.
- Other Merlin characters may appear as support.
- Lovers Quarrel and then Kiss and Make-up are a MUST.
Challenge Four
Theme: Be My Valentine
Prompt: Valentine's Day is just around the corner and Gwen cannot wait to celebrate it with her boyfriend Arthur. It's going to be their first Valentine's Day as a couple. Gwen is EXPECTING a Valentine's Day SURPRISE or DATE from Arthur. But there's a problem. Arthur thinks Valentine's Day is SO overrated.
