Hiatus, hiatus, hiatus. Don't you just hate it when your favourite shows go on hiatus?! I envy the American viewers because their shows only go on short hiatus. The UK shows on the other is another matter. WHY do they go on super long hiatus? I mean, come on 9 months or maybe even more before Merlin S4 comes back to our screen? Life is not fair.
So, to make a long story short 4_evermore is hosting a LAST AUTHOR STANDING COMPETITION to help fight off the hiatus blues. As you can see, this community is all about the ARTHUR/GWEN love so this challenge will center around this pairing. HOWEVER, depending on the number of sign-ups, we could have PROMPTS that will center around say, OT4, OT3, Love Triangle etc. with AG as the central pairing of course.
WHAT IS LAST AUTHOR STANDING?
Last Author Standing is a competition in which participants have signed up to undertake regular challenges. Their submissions are posted anonymously, and put to vote by others. Each round, one participant is eliminated until there's only one left: the Last Person Standing.
FOR EVERY CHALLENGE:
(or 1000 tokens, depends on the challenge)
AND WHAT DOES THE LAST AUTHOR STANDING WINNER GET, YOU MAY ASK? A WINNING BANNER OF COURSE AND A WHOPPING 2500(or more, depending on the challenge) LJ TOKENS.

GENERAL RULES
1. All submissions must centre around Arthur and Gwen.
2. The competition is going to run on a bi-weekly schedule:
a. New rounds begin every second Wednesday
b. Submissions are due ten days later, on Saturday
c. Voting will begin once all submissions are received and will last until the next
Wednesday when we reveal who did which works, announce the winner and elimination,
and the newest challenge will be posted.

3. Works are to be submitted to the challenge post where comments are screened.
4. All submissions must remain anonymous until voting is complete and the results revealed. Therefore, do not talk about your works or post them elsewhere until then. Anyone who breaks this rule will be immediately disqualified, and their work taken out of the vote.
5. Similarly, do not tell others to vote for a specific piece, or you will be disqualified.
6. Everyone gets one skip to be used at your discretion. You must alert robinmarian at the beginning of the round if you intend to use your skip, or your lack of submission will result in disqualification.
*If you get 600 LJ tokens you may get your second/last SKIP.
7. Voting posts will be screened, but we will be encouraging voters to leave feedback for the pieces they're voting for. If you want to read the feedback your pieces receive, please indicate that in your sign-up form.
GUIDELINES
1. All fics must be between 500 - 1000 words, unless otherwise stated in the challenge post.
2. All prompts will center around A/G but other characters will be included.
3. Only one submission per round per author.
4. There is no rating limit.
