Hastur has been missing for about a week, now. Ever since the Deadly Sins fiasco or, more specifically, ever since about a day or so later, when Jeff and Soze were released from the Clinics ( Read more... )

It is one of the few places she cannot enter. Mainly because her wards can only withstand so much at once before they start to collapse.

But she has means and ways around even that.

He'll find a paper, origami butterfly on one table, unfolding it reveals that it's a note:

Been a little while since we've seen you around these parts, sweet.

And a small hand drawn butterfly is in place of the signature.

He'd been wandering endlessly, a mournful and tragic figure in gold, wafting ceaslessly; no more than a drifting collection of flowing, tattered robes and the memory of a figure within, consigned to forever haunt these abandoned and tainted halls; a fallen soul; a wretched creature; a ( ... )

A new butterfly appears. The folded stationary is yellow, because her sense of humor works that way. But yes, she's thought of him, mainly wondering where he was, more than anything.

Failed, dear? If you're referring to the incident in our merry little trek through the seven sins, it was a situation none of us had any control over.

Yes, she saw that. She wasn't looking for it, and she still saw that.

It takes him a while to reply to this one, trying to put it into words. He'd been forcibly shown the fragility of human existence to such an extent that, upon his return, he'd been treading the proverbial eggshells around them. Tiny humans, such ... fragile things. Harming them was abhorrent, now, he knew firsthand their pain was such a terrible thing.

We might not have had control of the situation, but we still had control of ourselves. I lost that control. Allowed myself to be manipulated and played and I broke my word as ( ... )

Gabriel has, off and on, been sleeping in Flavius' rooms instead of his own, mostly because his own are so empty and these feel like they've been inhabited by someone for longer than ten minutes. That and he misses him, but this you'll never extract from him without truth serum.

There's one thing that's certain--that is quite possibly The Most Comfortable Bed In The Nexus.

Also, Flavius has a Very Interesting book collection.*

Also Also, he needs to add a few colours to his decor. Gold is all well and good, but the whole place is a bit monochromatic.

*Said book collection does not include "The King In Yellow." It does, however, include THE KING: A History Of Unspeakable Advertising.
