I loved the element of not knowing who you were cheering for. But when they let all the baddies out, I kinda stopped cheering for them. Because... dude!
I was also kind of pissed that the one trailer I watched had a shot of Marty and Dana together in an elevator, so when he "died," I knew he was coming back. I wish I hadn't known. Damn you, preview!!!

Yeah, I saw that trailer, but I managed to forget about it until pretty far into the movie... but then I did remember it and realized that it wasn't over.... Whoever makes previews must not be related to the people who actually made the movie. I imagine Joss and Co were probably peeved about that bit.
Once I got the general gist of the movie from the few previews I saw on fast-forward (I TiVO all my shows, never watch them live), I rigorously avoided further spoilers. The concept looked far too interesting to know everything about the movie beforehand. I don't know why the companies that make trailers insist on basically telling us the entire film in a minute and thirty seconds. We just want a teaser, not the entire film
