I've finished a few books lately.

The People's Republic: Stories of Boulder, Colorado by Rob Sheely: this is a collection of short stories about Boulder he wrote for the Boulder Weekly. I enjoyed it a medium amount. In some places it was really well written, but not everywhere. A "hometown" kind of book like this should have more of a voice (

I've read several of Octavia Butler's books. They are some of the best SF for getting you thinking.

The only Butler I've read is Pattern Master. Lucas is reading Parable of the Sower right now.

Oh, and he says that the Lilith's Brood trilogy is "soo good."
