-Series of Unfortunate Events: Dark childrens' series; the recent movie starred Jim Carrey
-The Speed of Dark: Near future science fiction about an autistic man and an experimental cure for autism

Two good movies:
-Shaun of the Dead: Best. Zombie movie. Ever.

ooh .. i totally stopped and then forgot about hte fact that i was reading book 2 in the lemony snicket books... time to jump back on that!

huckabees was good -- i want to hit myself in the face with a book sometime. i really want to see shaun of the dead too. no one ever wanted to see it with me. not that i tried real hard.
