[J isn't actually conscious.
He's in a bed down in Tam's clinic, bandaged and set up against a big fluffy pillow. He looks like battered hell, frankly - bandages all over his head and visible torso, and bruises, a split lip, swollen everything...
Hibari really did a number on him.His camera is on, thanks to the ever-helpful mansion, and it's

Yeah.
And he knows the location of the clinic from his attempts to find an exit, so guess who's now arriving at its door at a breathless run, his ever-present camera shaking everywhere?
Alex is pretty sure he must be insane.
Of course, by the time he arrives, the Operator and Masky are long gone. Alex leans against the doorframe, trying to catch his breath, wondering where the hell he got the nerve to run out on some kind of rescue mission, annoyance fighting with relief that it didn't pay off.]

What a fun reunion. Is Brian going to drop from the ceiling next?
Alex stares after Tim as the guy throws himself onto a bed. He wasn't there for the vomiting, but he can tell that Tim is dizzy. Man. Seems like every time he sees this guy he's ill with one thing or another.]
Tim?
[He says it in a loud whisper - there are quite a few patients sleeping here. But he doesn't stand there to wait for a reply. J's been visited by the Operator - a bone-deep shudder runs through Alex - and he wouldn't have come to the clinic for the fun of it. Yeah, proximity to J brings up too many horrible memories. Doesn't mean he can't care ( ... )

M'not the masked man. M'still here.
[He hasn't yet noticed Alex, as he's staring in a different direction...]

He glances up at Tim, pale-faced, and answers quietly; but he keeps the camera trained on J. Just in case.]
Yeah, it's me.

...Oh. Hey. [And then he looks away again. Cue uncomfort in under ten seconds!]

*Annnnd blood vomit. But hey, he found a garbage can at least.*

Alarmed:] Jesus, are-- [aaand more quietly] Jesus, are you okay?
[Well... obviously not, but shh.]

... I didn't think you'd come.
[He looks over at Tim once he's done upchucking.] ...Dude, ar- .......Tim?

I'm fine. Just .. sick or something.
*He stares over towards Alex finally noticing the injured man in the bed*
..J? What happened to you?

[He says it forcefully, because he's uncomfortably aware that he doesn't really have the right to say of course.
...He wants to ask if the Operator hurt J, but he opens his mouth, glances at Tim and closes it again; he has no idea whether Tim knows, but suspects that he doesn't. Though, shit, Tim was losing time as well, wasn't he? And Alex has no idea if he's from that summer or some later time.]

Where the hell did you get my knife?

What knife? You look awful.

Alex takes a short step back and, with his free hand, picks up J's camera from the bedside cabinet. He glances across the screen, checking the battery and how much tape is left.
And... battery's scraping the bottom, and he makes a note to grab a charging cable from a closet, but apparently J has made the amazing technological leap to digitally recording to a memory card. Suddenly the extra tapes that Alex grabbed feel vaguely superfluous.]
