You see? They're a SWEET couple. Yes they are. Please ignore Lewis's wife and Morse's tendency to fall for women in his cases. REALLY, they're meant for eachother, and they know it :)

Yes, but Morse inexplicably reminds me of my Dad and therefore it's all a bit traumatising and wrong you see. However, I will conceed that Morse and Lewis's love is not too scary.

Glad to give inspiration. I kind of wavered between book!Morse and TV!Morse when I was writing this - I think it says somewhere that Lewis is older than Morse in the books, but I had young!Lewis and John Thaw!Morse in mind - but as I've only seen one whole episode, it was more based on the book characterisation. If you can manage all of that in 80 words(!)

In the first book, Lewis is older than Morse, but as he finished writing them after the TV series was made, I think by the end they've switched, though he's never terribly specific about details like that!

Yes, I know that in the last one it appeared as if Lewis was much younger; but I don't think he actually says, whereas early on he DOES say he's older.

So I can claim to be true to the books. yay.
