With the 3STEP acting as a pretty handy GPS, Sonic was at Manic's place in no time. Of course, it was nothing like he'd expected, but he'd give anything to see a familiar face right now. As much as he hated to admit it, it was pretty uncomfortable not knowing where you were in a scenario. Especially a game kind of scenario, that could mean some serious bad news when it really came down to it.

There was a loud zooming sound as Sonic sped around the corner and screeched to a halt. He looked side to side and then proceeded to walk properly, glancing down at the 3STEP. "Yep, this place is it." He said to himself and glanced up. "Yo, Manic my man, where you at?" However, just after asking the question to the air, he spotted the familiar green figure right up again.

"And there he is."

Since Sonic, well this Sonic, was coming anyway, Shadow wasn't going to just hide. He knew enough about the blue hedgehog to know he wasn't much of a threat. He was leaning on the opposite side of the wall, his eyes closed and arms crossed. He heard the famous hedgehog approaching but didn't react. Not yet anyway.

Manic's apartment wasn't untidy but, typical of him, it did have a lot of random stuff he'd picked up.

Smiling when his brother arrived, he caught the bean bag easily and straightened to walk over and give him a friendly punch to the shoulder. "Guess I'm lucky there weren't any chilidog stands on the way. Might''ve taken you a whole five minutes longer to get here," he teased.

"Hey, keep it cool, bro. Chili dog stops take a whole three minutes, and lucky for you, I couldn't seem to find any." Sonic informed his younger brother. He widened his eyes a little bit and glanced about the apartment. "So's this your place, Manic? Hope you've been keeping your hands to yourself." He noticed the items and prayed they weren't because the green hedgehog had been stealing again. It was really hard to get him to stop the stealing habit, if he picked it up again, it'd only get worse!

It was at that moment he noticed the other hedgehog in the vicinity, and he recognized him quite instantly. "Woah, hold up bro, you know that mystery hedgehog?" He questioned. "Shadow, or whosit but I wondered how he knew your name..."

Shadow opened his eyes when his name was mentioned but stayed where he was. He didn't see any real reason to move from his spot. It was against the wall, he could see the door and everyone in the room at the same time. Perfect place to stand.

"I live here with Manic."

"Hey it's not stealing if it doesn't belong to anybody," Manic defended immediately. His view on how you never know when you might need something hadn't changed at all and if he saw something he might need later...or if it caught his eye, he picked it up and it came home. Possibly the most noteworthy item there was a steel bat in the corner.

"But yeah, Shadow sort of, dropped in on me three weeks ago and I let him stay here with me." Not that housing was hard to come by. He just wound up taking in Mobians.

Sonic let his eyes fall upon every object in the room. Really, these people left so much stuff lying about? Well, he couldn't know for sure! He rubbed the back of his head and sighed a bit. "Oh, I see, so how'd you manage to get this place then, little bro?" He started to walk around. Couldn't stand still for too long, after all!

"Bummer may Horus ! Why would you need a bat like that!" He suddenly exclaimed as he took notice of the steel bat. His brother had better not be taking part in any bludgeon episodes, no-sir-ee, he would not tolerate it. He inspected it somewhat. He knew Manic could defend himself if anyone came at him without such a weapon, so he was really hoping its point was for looks.

... Or, you know, a good ball game. "Playing some serious baseball over here."

"It can also be used as a weapon." Shadow simply stated. He saw it easily as more of a weapon than something used for a game. Sorry Sonic, he isn't helping is he?

"Housing free, Sonic. If no one lives there it's up for grabs. Kind of a first come, first serve thing." And yet he has a roommate...go figure. But then, even being a thief, Manic wasn't stingy. he just had a bad habit of taking other people's stuff.

"Yeah, Shadow hit the nail on the head Sonic. Some stuff went down back in October and i needed it for protection."

No, no he is not. "A weapon!" Sonic started, but his attention was turned to Manic as he proceeded to explain more about the housing process. "Oh really, so I don't suppose you allow good ol' Buttnik's companions in here too, do you?" He said, relatively sarcastically. Oh, who was he kidding? Sonic meant it entirely sarcastically. He took another glance toward Shadow.

"And this guy here, is he a Freedom Fighter, or what? Just what kind of mondo events were going down if you needed protection like that? Talk about way past uncool." He had no idea! He needed to be filled in with a whole lot of things, and it appeared that Manic knew much more than he did. Somewhat relieving, but at the same time, it was very new.
