Characters: Dash a3stepnpc and Zack Fair urgonnalive When: Monday late afternoon, 8/2 Where: Paradise Hospital Rating: PG Summary: It's not exactly a good time to be new. But new happens anyway.
Zack knew two things the moment he became aware of his surroundings. One, he wasn't dead if the pain in his chest was anything to go by. And two, this wasn't the cliff overlooking Midgar.
Soon enough, his focus went back to his chest. Carefully, Zack pushed himself up and looked down on himself. To find his shot up shirt, but skin miraculously healed underneath. Well, that made no sense. He looked around the room and quickly located the Buster sword, but no Cloud. Okay, that wasn't the greatest development.
If only he knew what had happened and where he had ended up.
Dash stopped outside the appropriate door, pausing only to knock before opening it. Then he stepped inside and to the side. Red eyes took in Zack's appearance before scanning the rest of the room thoughtfully while he waited to see what the new arrival would do. He was tired, so before trying to start anything he would let Zack act first.
At the knock, he turned toward the door, still on edge, though is adrenaline from the beginning of the fight was wearing off quickly. Hopefully he wouldn't have to use any means to protect himself.
The man seemed harmless enough, though Zack knew appearances could be deceiving. He also could tell he'd have to speak first. "Could you tell me where I am? I shouldn't be here."
Dash blinked, a little surprised. "You speak Common already," he said simply. "Most new arrivals don't. That's one less thing I need to teach you then. As for where you are, this is Paradise Hospital. My name's Dash and I run this hospital and greet the people like you who arrive."
He sagged back against the wall in a very unprofessional manner...but he was an unprofessional doctor and didn't care. "You're here because some deity, whichever one rules your world, has entered you in the gods' game here in Paradise. I don't know your god or why you were picked...or how long you'll be here. You can ask me nearly anything else though, since I'm here to make sure you know everything you need to."
