I did get to watch GitS: Innocence and while it was lacking some major Major action I enjoyed it. My counterpart did not enjoy it though, but then again, he never watched the first one nor any of SAC so he did not understand the awesomeness of GitS :(
And, I really enjoyed the game that came out for PS2. I wasn't too impressed by the first one in where you run around in a tank (not even a Tachikoma, just a stinky old tank :().
