The second-level geek and I agreed that it's always a pain in the ass when you get a call from a fellow geek, or an alpha-geek. They've probably tried all the easy fixes, themselves. If the last thing we tried hadn't worked, he was going to transfer me to Blackberry. Quoth he, about 35 minutes in:
"Usually, any one of half the things we've tried, fixes 90% of the problems I get called for."
