This is just lovely. I especially like the way you've acknowledged Jack/Elizabeth (love the banter and the cabin scene) but kept her true to Will. And it's nice to read something from CotBP's universe again, without the angst of the second two movies.

Shall we save the rest of this extremely disturbing reunion 'til we get back to the Pearl? I know Will don't mind makin' a cake of himself, but I have a reputation to maintain.

That made me giggle! Will making a cake of himself...LOL! What a great turn of phrase and so very Jack.

And that graphic of the sword is beautiful.

It's a pretty sword, isn't it? Amazing what you can do with Photoshop.

I, too, really enjoy revisiting the post-CotBP world that drew us into the Pirates fandom, and I particularly love the J/E / W/E universe in which my Christmas stories are set. I'm so happy you enjoyed this one, too!

Oooh, merry Christmas!

This was simply adorable. Everyone's already said everything I would have said, about the tension between Jack and Elizabeth, and her obviously successful relationship with Will-- Quite a man he turned out, eh? and the pretty sword.

Oooh, and here's something that I loved-- Lizzie's skill with a needle and her lack of patience with the craft. A beautiful little bit of characterisation!

I don't think she'd like sewing much, but it was such a necessary skill, and something women of every class could do, from what I understand. But I bet the sword is much prettier than the shirt she made. *g*

So happy you enjoyed this! It's a world that's really fun to revisit.

Btw, I saw that you posted something at the Impverse, too, and I am so looking forward to having some time to read it!! These last few days before Christmas are so CRAZY!!

Happy Holidays!

Awwww, that was good! Although I absolutely love AWE, there is something so nice and warm and fuzzy about post-CotBP fic -- where Norrington and Governor Swann are still alive, and Will and Elizabeth are living happily together.

"So Will is from home and you're propositioning me?" heh. Jack is in fine form in this fic. You always do write him well.

"...Tortuga's no place for the likes of you!"

"Nonsense! And what harm could come to me when I'm with you?"
--I must admit, I like the Pirate King!Elizabeth that she grew into in the second two movies, better than the CotBP Elizabeth, but this is perfectly in keeping with the time frame of the story, so that's all good.

"You stole away my wife, pirate," -- So Will. so cute in a bumbling, goofy kind of way. (Again, I rather like the strong, confident leader he became in the second two movies -- although he still can be bumbling and goofy ( ... )

Elizabeth and Will did grow into different, stronger people over the course of the trilogy, but yes, it's kind of fun revisiting their younger, more callow selves. Very happy you enjoyed the story. Thanks for letting me know!

Just catching up on older posts.

Fun fic! And with that general happy, warm-fuzzy feeling.

"Not a good idea. Very bad idea, in fact. Like to cause a debilitating and potentially incapacitating accumulation of vile humours."

Hehehehehehe! *eg*

Thanks for that.
