Oh, this is WONDERFUL! I love this bit:

“He's trying to explain magic for Muggles,” Hermione said. “Though really I think he doesn't understand it himself and is just being complicated for the sake of it.”

The girl smiled, delighted. “Have you met him before? You might have done, without realising it, you know. He does that all the time.

Hah. I fell asleep to that same whooshing sound many times as a kid. And this:

Oh, this is wonderful -- my two favorite current fandoms, and Sarah Jane! I did not properly appreciate the Fourth Doctor growing up and only revisited his episodes after Nine and the first season of Ten (and Sarah Jane's return)! The Doctor could learn a great deal by taking on Hermione as a companion, and Sarah Jane would be a most excellent addition to Hogwarts. Thank you so much!

:) I'm so glad you liked it! I really enjoyed writing it - I thought Sarah-Jane would get on rather well with Harry, Ron and Hermione. In fact I could see her being really good friends with Hermione, they're rather alike in many ways.
