*giggles*
I can just hear Gimli saying this. Hee.
Fun.
Although I bet Legolas could still tempt him if he put his mind to it. ;)

*is howling* I don't believe a word of the "no Legolas" part, but this is hilarious!

Hahahaha! I absolutely cannot bear the Legolas/Gimli pairing, so it was great fun to give Gimli the opportunity to be heard on the subject.

Legolas/Aragorn is the one I absolutely cannot bear. I don't know enough about dwarves to do Gimli justice, but I don't think he sailed off with Legolas for no reason. *veg*

"hammer at his anvil."

:::laughs and laughs:::

I'm the luckiest recipient, ever!! I've just been engrossed in LOtR for the past several days, and this is simply marvelous! To whomever wanted to tickle my fancy for something Gimli-centric, much less drawing in Éomer as well, thank you!!! What a hilarious wee snippet! I'm thrilled, lololol.

Well, you did say you didn't want Legolas/Gimli...so that's what you got. NOT Legolas/Gimli.
This was great fun to write - I was chortling madly the whole time. Thanks for a great prompt! *snicker*

Edit: I also snuck in a tiny bit of Ellen Kushner: beads and bells and tiny bits of gold - from the description of the Northern King and his companions on the first page of The Fall of the Kings. ROWR. Rohirrim!

I always listen to the cast commentary while I'm doing my holiday baking - it's like having a party - and I was so awash in the glory of that voice that I just sat down and wrote this all in one fell swoop. Glad you enjoyed it!
