Oh this is so lovely. Your writing is marvelous; if I were to quote back my favorite parts, it would be the whole thing! Your descriptions are so eloquent and truly embody the feel of Swordspoint. I suspect I know you, but don't right now. ;)

Thank you, thank you!

Of course you knew mine, just as I knew yours *g* I'm very glad you enjoyed this; it was a pleasure to write.

Gorgeous descriptions... I was salivating more over that of the library than anything else, I admit! *g* But how very Alec to go with Richard to his grandmother's ball, and then sneak out to do what he enjoys instead!

You know, the library description was actually the funnest part to write, imagining Richard's reactions to all that glorious excess. (And wondering if he's ever felt wistful about not knowing how to read. Hmmmmmm......)

Thanks for your lovely comments, Cel, and for running this exchange! It's always such fun.

This is fabulous:

"And third, to give me an opportunity to show you something wondrous."
"Your bedroom?" Oh, Richard! You are adorable.

And it just gets better from there. Wonderful desciptions, wonderful characterizations. I just love them both to death here. "Embellishments" indeed! You do know how to torture your reader, don't you?

Hee. Though I do occasionally indulge in the "More is Better" school of PWP writing, generally, I do tend to be rather understated, preferring to let readers run their own movies in their heads *grin*. Thanks for reading and commenting! There's so much still to be explored and savored in these books, isn't there?
