i'm just out making connections and trying to find other muslims, muslimahs, muslim friendly, or other likeminded folk.  i look forward to following this community as it looks quite interesting.

Okay, we're pretty secular here, and probably not the sorts of folks you expect to find in a group like this one, but I'd like to send out a request that everyone put up a picture of a Menorah in response to the news that the "Arbeit Macht Fri" sign at Auschwitz was stolen. Let's show these thieves where we stand.

I'm watching George Carlin: It's Bad for Ya!, which I think was his last performance, and the religious part of this has got me rolling. It is said that during the month of Ramadan God closes the gates of hell. Therefore we do not struggle with the evils of Satan for the next month. Instead, we struggle with the evils within OURSELVES.

Sorry it took me so long to whack the previous, proselytizing post. I was on the road.

I realize this community has been quiet, lately, but the rules are still the rules, and one of the rules is that this not the place for jingoism about any particular faith.
