Interfaith Prayer Vigil

I know at face value this looks like a piece on Israeli-Palestinian politics, but the deeper currents of ecumenical thinking, drawing on Jewish teaching, make it far more profound than that...

Pardon the audio/video quality... it was shot on a cel phone! It's the message that counts.

Does someone have a (link to a) transcript of what the guy is saying? I can make out the words "mercy" and "judgment" but nothing else. Alternatively, where did that gathering take place? Knowing the location might help find news reports about it.

Rabbi Harry Brechner.

The vigil took place in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. On the large island just west of Vancouver, Canada - NW of Seattle, WA.

I'll try to get some sort of transcript.

it is deeply profound the statement, ". . . . the place of peace is found when people move towards one another." that caught my attention. i'm not familiar with the incident referenced as i've gotten too where the horrors of the world outside of my small apt are more sometimes than i can deal with on top of my own personal place of existence (spiritually). i've grown tired of hearing one more incident behind which the mindset suggests murder, mass murder will resolve the issue and everything will be rosey and joyous after. acknowledging that the mindset behind the political machines, the political wheels that turn cannot change if a life is terminated. only education and a pilgramage to that place of peace mentioned in the video can help to turn things around.

btw, i liked the video. wish i knew more abt the speaker and had a face to put on it.
