loss of faith and recovery . . .

how does judaism and christianity address issues with a person who loses faith or is experiencing a detachment from faith?

i'm not really sure how we approach it in islam.  i would suppose one has to determine the root cause first.  then, one can go on to resolution.  i'll look into this further and edit this.

Are you asking about the theological/legal issues, or the practical issues?

i'm somewhat perplexed by your question, but i think i know what you're getting at. i would say both. basically, how all issues are resolved that needed to get the person back on their chosen faith path? what approach or approaches are taken to pursue resolution?

What I meant was, are you asking about the theological implications of the fact that people leave the faith/love faith, etc., or practically for how the community deals with those people? I understand from your answer that you mean the latter, essentially. But, I would say the fact that they seem like more or less the same question to you is probably a reflection of the perspective you're coming from. I'll explain ( ... )
