Ugh, well, count me out.

This community has been on LJ for *years* and to up and move it to Dreamwidth just because you think it's a shiny place of awesome is disrespectful of everyone who has put so much effort into the community over the years. It shows you don't care much about what the participants would want, and frankly, makes me respect you less as a human being.

If I needed a better reason to think the people who have moved to Dreamwidth are not worth my time and are in generally pretty shitty and entitled fandom members, you just gave me another reason to think so.

What are you even talking about, Anonymous? This is not now and has never been a discussion community; it's for announcements. If you subscribe to 3_ships_feed, you'll get the same announcements as are posted to Dreamwidth. The stories have always been hosted at the website, not the comm. I'm not sure if I'm doing the public feedback as comments this year (I'm looking at using Google tools to put them on the actual stories.) But if I do, you can use an OpenID account to track comments at Dreamwidth as easily as you could track them at LJ.

I have always been very clear that I change the rules at every round to make this exchange simpler to administer. But I also try to make sure everyone can play. If you want to tell me about the actual increased difficulties LJ users will suffer from the comm moving to Dreamwidth, I'll try to work with you to find a solution. But "Dreamwidth is gross and I don't like it", which appears to be the substance of your complaint, is not my problem ( ... )

Thank you for the invite, but I must decline. Professional writing takes all the time I can muster. Also, I don't do Dreamwidth.

If your pro-writing has threesomes, it's almost like doing 3 Ships. Sort of, kind of, not really. But the threesomes are the thing.

In any case, I hope you have fun being a pro.

A few of them do. The steampunk Robin Hood/Marion/Will threesome was a LOT like doing 3 Ships.

I enjoy being a pro. The checks aren't much yet, but improving every year.

Okay, friended the DW community and subscribed to the feed in case I forget.

But I've got the main page bookmarked, so I should be good to go. Thanks.

Good grief, I have no idea why the anti-Dreamwidth forces decided to come out today. I was mystified as to how this post could even have comments, and I'm sorry to see what they are.

Thank you again for all your work on this, and for communicating your plans so clearly and in such a timely manner. And now, to consider what fandoms I feel comfortable offering this year...

You're welcome, and I'm glad the announcements translated out of my head okay to someone.

And I'm looking forward to stories.
