[Ex Machina]: Musical randomness

Jan 19, 2011 01:18

I still wonder whether I should follow the noble example of M-me Chira (halcyonjazz ) and create a separate space for my brainbaby known to some as Ex Machina... Or will it be too much copy-catting..? I'm just a little paranoid when it comes to that, never exactly being the most original of my lot in the department of creativity and sometimes unconsciously ( Read more... )

*head_desk* You too with self-depraciation today???

Nice idea, songs connecting to the characters. I can't really say whether I agree or not, because I still don't know that much about either Anthony or Henri, but it's a very interesting idea :)

So, they meet in Chapter 3, qui?
*fishes for spoilers*

It's not like that! I honestly have a bad habit of absorbing bits of plots and writing styles without even realizing (Iru wasn't very happy when I did that with her "intellectual possessions")... That's why I try not to read much when I'm working on something original, don't want to infest it with too much foreign materia.

My writings come with music, it's almost a rule of the universe ;).

No (more) spoiling! You'll find out soon enough.

'sometimes unconsciously repeating plot patterns I've seen somewhere else' I think that nowadays it is impossible to write something that would be, like, totally original ;). People have simply written too much during past centuries ;). So worry not, as long as you'll lead plot in an interesting way and write in your great style there is big future before you :3

Yup. We're living in post-modernism after all and everything has already been invented. Still, it's a little embarrassing to realize that it seems you've stolen someone's idea. Especially when said someone is there to get angry at you ^^".

Thanks a lot for support and... Would you like to have Ex Machina mailed to you once the second chapter is ready? It's in Polish, so an easy read XDDD. And I could use more reviewers :3.

Well, a lot of famous writers were sued for plagiary ^^. Not pleasant but what one can do.

You can send me next chapter, but be warned that I know little about writing, since for a couple of years I read shamefully little, I remember nothing from theory of literature classes and I don't write. So my opinion may not be well-grounded (if you know what I mean) :). And it may take me like week to read the chapter ;).

Well-grounded or not, I'm just happy to get another (hopefully satisfied) reader - writing for someone is probably the only thing to keep me going ^^"*is extremely lazy*.

And "a week" is plausible - it takes me a month to write a chapter, after all ;).
