The Rules
While 31 Days of Fandom will, no doubt, be a committment, it is fun and simple to do. Here's how:
For each month with 31 total days, save for August (see FAQ as to why), we'll post a sticky post at the top of our comm with a theme. The theme will vary, and will most likely permit several forms of fanworks. Using the theme, you will then create (1) fanwork or (1) set of fanworks each day of that month until the end. That would be 31 total fanworks or sets of fanworks. So, what's counted as "fanworks"? And what are the mins and maxes? Well:
Fic: 300-5000 words
Art: 500px wide (any height allowed, just so long as the work is clearly visible, like banners would be considered a minimum)
Icons: 3-10
Fanmixes: 5 songs min
Podfic: 500 words+
At the end of 31 days, you will get an achievement banner if you completely the entire month. If you've done more than 31 days worth of fanworks, you'll also get a special recognition banner. If you didn't get to 31 days... well, at least you've still contributed a whole bunch of new stuff to the fandom world! Tags will be added by the mods (which are myself and twisted-slinky) as we go, and there will be a one-time sign-up post. No matter how many months you participate in, you'll only have to sign up on this post once. It's just so we can add you a tag.
