This is the sort of brilliant fic I've come to expect from you. Wow.

I especially like this line:
Severus must have accomplished the proper expression of "I never would have dreamed of making that comparison", since he lived to hear "Which, to be honest, bore me in light of my other duties.

Oh, how chilling. I can see Voldemort making some of his newest initiates commit murder in order to bind them to him; it makes sense, of course. And the murder of a family member would be the worst sort of binding.
