Secondary Character Challenge #74

Title: Reading Over Someone's Shoulder
Time: Pretty close to 30 minutes, probabally a bit over because I wrote it out in longhand and then typed it.
Characters: Phineas, Hermione
Rating: PG
Notes:  I blame sapphiretragedy :)  I thought I could resist until I read her Madame Pince story set in the library.

I'd change brittlely to brittle tone, if only because it halted my reading for a bit (doesn't look right to me) or trying to find another alternte. Otherwise, brilliant piece.

I wondered about that myself! My spell check said "brittlely" was incorrect, but that's the spelling I found in two online dictionaries (I didn't believe the first one ;) I will probabally change that if I wind up posting it anywhere else, though, because it does look strange.

I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of it. That you for commenting!

Yuo're welcome. It really does have to bite, though, just watching and not able to do anything while the people around you who are stil alive and decidedly non-ghostlike get ot enjoy the same things that you used to love while you were alive (like the bit with Dumbledore and the strawberries).

*L* I should have expected a Phineas portrait, seeing it came from you.
Beautiful.
I love Phineas' longing for things he can't have and Hermione's reactions to him. And I can just see Irma force her out of the library to give the books a rest. *LOL*

Some people have a "One True Pairing," I seem to have a "One True Character" :) I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Yes, it seems Phineas is your One True Painting. *L*
I always like your stories, it's cool that somebody dares to flesh out a twodimensional (in the literal sense) character.

*Laughing too hard to type* "One True Painting--" I love it! I may have to figure out how to make an icon that says that :)

I liked this a lot. Wonderful job! And I am sorry that my plot bunny infected you ... and 'forced' you to write this. *smirk*

Thanks! I've been too busy to write much fanfic lately, but that was one determined bunny you set loose on me.

Tell me about it ... the thing still has me captive.

Thanks for posting this. I loved the longing the poor old man has for things from his past. And he still talks like a head master even though he is now just tempra and canvas. Old habits die hard.

I'm glad he came across sounding like a headmaster; I think he would try and hang on to as much of his former personality as he could. Thanks for reading!
