It was a cold night and the sky was filled with stars and the small clouds of smoke the nicotine addicted chef blew out towards the heavens. Cigarette butts floated like a trail after the Thousand Sunny and Sanji was firing off the last one from the package. Breathing out the white smoke, his breath trailed of into a coughing fit.
Zoro, the man on watch, cracked an eye open. Sanji slammed a fist against his chest, trying to get enough air. Standing up, the green haired man walked over to the coughing chef.
“You okay, cook?”, he grinned, hiding his concern.
Spitting into the ocean in a very un-gentleman-ish way, Sanji glared at the marimo.
“Ofourse I'm fine, you idiot!”, me muttered with a hoarse voice, standing up again and straightening his tie. Looking away from Zoro and out on the dark sea, he took another drag of his cigarette.
“You should quit it, curly-brow. That's a really bad habit, you know.”, Zoro said as he looked at the pale cook.
“”We are pirates, dumbfuck. Bad habits are a part of our everyday life. Did you miss the whole introduction with facts like that we pillage, plunder and don't give a damn when you signed u, marimo?”
“Being a pirate hasn't killed you. Yet.”, the swordsman grunted.
“You worried? Despite his pale looks, Sanji still managed a grin at Zoro's prompted 'n-no!'
“You shouldn't worry. It's just one of many bad habits I have, like smoking, fighting, general pirate acts...” Trailing off, the blond took a final drag of his cigarette before tossing the butt over board.
“And you know... kissing you...”, he finished with a grin before he closed the space between they lips and sealed them in a soft kiss.
Maybe, Zoro though, maybe some of these bad habits weren't so horrible after all.
