Oh perfect! I love the banter and the poetry and the whole feel of this. It assumes a loving comfortable relationship between them and it arises naturally from that.

And it has what I always aim for- a killer of a last line.

Great stuff (and once again, how the heck do you have time for all this writing? Do you sleep?)

Sleep? Vhat eez this thing of which you speak?

Seriously, my sleep situation is improving slightly, but for about the last six months I've been subsisting on about 5 hours a night - ever since I got my puppy. It got so bad at one point (when the puppy was still waking up in the middle of the night needing to pee) that my eye started to twitch. On the plus side, getting up an hour before the rest of the family does give me a lot of time to write. And a touch of sleep-deprivation induced psychosis never hurts the muse.

Thanks to the lemon challenge, I've discovered I really like writing established relationship fics. It opens up so many possibilities and bring me back to what I enjoy about gen - it's not all about The Sex. (Not that the sex isn't a fabulous thing all on its own...)

I'm really glad that you enjoyed the story. Thank you!

I am jealous of all this writing you're doing. I seem to have less and less time- between the job (which means I'm gone between 8 and 630) and house stuff and daughter stuff and girlfriend time, means there is so little time to write. And I write slow I guess (which is probably why I write shorter pieces). But glad we benefit from your lack of sleep (mean that in a nice way of course).
