Tasuki is a tad OOC, but I have it engraved in my head that he hates all women except Miaka according to the canon. *just rewatched the second half of FY a week ago* Its nice to see that some people still write SM/FY, it is really missed Just like SM/Ranma. It is very well written, one tiny mistake though.

"She moved between them men gracefully,"

should that be, "She moved between the men gracefully,"?

I always kinda thought Tasuki's "I hate women" was mostly just talk. Obviously, he doesn't actively seek out female company, but I think if he was around a woman long enough, he'd get over it. However, it has been awhile since I've actually watched Fushigi Yuugi...I should probably watch it again.

Thanks for catching the typo. I probably should have had Borgie-chan read this *before* I posted it. :P

You could be right. Because I watched the OAV and when one part where Tasuki is talking to Chichiri he talks about going to an inn and meeting a women and acting out scenario where he would go "No I'm a bandit, it would never work" and she would still throw himself at him and he would accept her anyway (something to that extent). And I was sitting there thinking, "I thought Tasuki disliked women. And Miaka was the only exception to that."

It was the only typo, if it was me, I'd probably have a billion. So no worries.

I thought this was marvelous, sweetie. ♥ You're right that Tasuki lacks his normal boisterous-ness--but then, he is pretty drunk. xDD And this was someone he was trying to impress. For some reason, he made me think of a crow--crows like to gather sparklies to impress mates. Overall, the feel was very good, and I thoroughly enjoyed that particular ending--since we didn't get a very active sense of Hotaru, it was nice that the end was punctuated by strong action on her part. :3

Thanks for the piece, Phedre! ♥
