Spike's not real stealthy, is he? I keep thinking he's going to be a big hero, but he's always on the verge of blowing it, at least emotionally. Poor Buffy's abandonment issues have been seriously tweaked here.

Clever to twist the ring around. The Gem doesn't look like a common ring.
Oh... Buffy killed Kralik after all (that should count for the council).
I'm glad Spike tried to teach Giles a lesson.

The fight with Kralik was exciting, and you had me worried about how Spike would survive beheading, Gem or not. Buffy's reaction to his reappearance was heart breaking. She's been terrified at the loss of her powers, and Spike's absence added to her misery. It's no wonder Spike had to get a bit of vengeance on Giles. He hates seeing his girl vulnerable. Unfortunately, he's not doing himself any favors with Giles. Their relationship has started on the wrong foot and I don't expect much improvement with time. Giles can hold a grudge.

Glad that Buffy did kill the psycho vamp on her own after all! (And saving Spike to boot!) I was worried all Spike's protection would cause her never to learn to trust herself!

Now there's a whole lot of 'splaining due!!
