I'm in the process of sifting through the guide. Thanks to the gentleman who forwarded it. Outdated or not, it's been helpful so far. I found a reasonable apartment and temporary clothes--any tailors around. A job, well, I'll have to figure that one out in a while.
This is the City. It's 2009. They're here. So now what.

[Ha, he can make it there in ten minutes. Dan has glasses that have the same frames of his other ones, the prescription is off. And lo, he has civilian clothing as well.]
[To say that Dan really wishes that she was is a woeful understatement. He takes off his glasses, irritated that they aren't his own and to clean them.]
[Some days, Eddie cannot believe how nerdy the man in front of him is. Hollis Mason was a tattletale and a self-righteous jackass, but at least he didn't wear those stupid glasses]
[Dan tucks the glasses into a pocket. May as well just squint. It would give him less of a headache. If stupid glasses were his worst shortcoming, he'd be appreciative....but they're not.]
[He doesn't need to move for it. Dan knows already that would have been his first move if he had a gun.]
Trying to get to the bottom of things.
[The operative word being trying. His vision isn't clear but Dan looks Eddie in the face. This is not a joke or manipulation. Then again, with how much he knows, Eddie must be looking for the next big twist too.]

So how long have you been here, Dreiberg?
[Cut right to the chase]

Five days ago.
You?

[He takes a drag and smiles at the catching of the breath]
You saw me land. Or something like that.

[He nods. A frown settles onto his mouth at the smoke and conversation. Dan shoves his hands deeper into his pockets.]
I didn't think it was real.
[The first time or the second time, or was it all the same time. Who would have thought he'd keep falling?]

[He pauses]
So who's here? Not L-not the second Silk Spectre, I would have already heard a fucking earful.
Reply
No. She's not here.

Adrian Veidt isn't accounted for.
[That'd work, right?]

Ozymandias.
[Oh, man, is there a score there]
You've seen him.

We dropped in at the same time.
[And he still had the bruises to prove it.]

Yeah? And what were you doing with him?

Yeah? Any luck with that?
[He doesn't move, he doesn't indicate. He just flickers his eyes over to where he thought he saw a man in the shadows]

Not as I had hoped.
