Where (and when) I'm from, they say that people will one day live in space. I don't know how pleasant extended experiences with zero gravity would be. The first few hours it was fun. My ceiling is very dirty ( Read more... )

wtf, hip to be a square, pedestrian crossing, post curse

I didn't mind it. Given enough time it could be easier to move in that kind of circumstance.

I'm used to being able to cross a room in a few strides. Thankfully there weren't any emergencies I needed to tend to.

With the propulsion needed, you should have been well able to go quicker...

but some do not pick up as quickly as others. I understand.

The book shelves are closer to the walls, I didn't anticipate needing that big of a push.

If you are from my world, humans will live in space. Microgravity, unfortunately for living bodies, weakens bones and muscles to the point where sometimes return to Earth is impossible. We have artificial gravity to prevent this problem during long-distance travel. The experience, I hear, is entertaining after one becomes accustomed to it, but the long-term effects are unfortunate.

Long-term effects of many things are seldom good news. At least in my experience.

When are you from?

There are methods by which artificial gravity may be generated.

Outside of space? Really?

I mean NASA must have methods. That'd make sense. Still, we can't predict what would be out there.

It's not something for everybody.

You know, I think if people are going to live in space, they're probably going to figure out how to make artificial gravity first.

Lab tested and approved. It's the American way.

Safety as well.

I didn't think it was all that fun. I like having my feet on something.

And May wasn't exactly the greatest month, either.

I'll keep rope hidden around the apartment in case of an emergency next time.

We can seek improvement for June.

I'm just hoping there doesn't have to be a next time.

Sounds like a plan. I promise I won't try to jump off any buildings this June

I feel the same. But I'd rather not be sorry.

I promise that I'd be there just the same.
