I love how Rose remembers the Doctor. And I love how she focuses on his loneliness to keep reminding herself.

When she realizes she’s let herself slip, even for a moment, it’s like a blow to the heart. She remembers again how lonely he is, and that’s quite enough to remind her why she’s not staying.

I am so loving this story. I love that you have Rose and Mickey renewing their friendship. I love that about their relationship, that they really do make better friends. Poor Rose, missing her Doctor. I can't wait for more.

I love the deliberate slow pace of this fic, even if I'm feeling greedy and want more RFN. The ache of seeing her mum and Pete falling in love, the way Pete becomes something better than her actual father, the way she falls back into the comfortable safety and familiarity with Mickey. It's such a slow, painful, beautiful tale you're weaving. All those bits and bobs we perhaps assumed, but never got to see happen. And the way HIS loneliness keeps her going--that's SO very Rose. Ever the Bad Wolf, she wants to keep her Doctor safe. I love it to itty bitty bits!
