2 colouring tutorials (with PSD's)

so, I've decided to post the tutorials I had recently made. (I use Photoshop CS2)

1. prepare your base (but not make it too light):


2. duplicate the base and set a new layer to Soft Light, opacity 100%


3. layer/new adjustment layer/levels
RGB
input levels - 19; 1,21; 242
output levels - 6; 238

RED
input levels - 2; 1,05; 244
output levels - 7; 249

GREEN
input levels - 2; 1,00; 239
output levels - 5; 244

BLUE
input levels - 8; 1,04; 255
output levels - 10; 249

ok.



4. layer/new adjustment layer/curves
RGB
1st point: input - 115; output - 128
2nd point: input - 17; output - 15
3rd point: input - 165; output - 204
4th point: input - 210; output - 250

looks like this:

5. layer/new adjustment layer/channel mixer
RED
red +98; green -8; blue +4
GREEN
red -2; green +100; blue 0
BLUE
red +22; green -24; blue +106

ok.



6. layer/new fill layer/solid color/271804. set to exclusion 100%



7. layer/new adjustment layer/curves
RGB
1st point: input - 122, output - 133
2nd point: input - 155, output - 202

8. layer/new adjustment layer/selective color
REDS
cyan -24; magenta +6; yellow +10; black +11
YELLOWS
cyan +90; magenta +3; yellow 0; black +10
GREENS
cyan +7; magenta +11; yellow +22; black -29
CYANS
cyan -21
WHITES
cyan -9; magenta 0; yellow +20; black -11
NEUTRALS
cyan -3; magenta +3; yellow +10; black +1
BLACKS
cyan -9; magenta +3; yellow -3; black -8

ok.



9. layer/new adjustment layer/curves (just to light a bit)
1st point: input - 108, output - 119
2nd point: input - 146, output - 158

ok.
and you're done!



note: in some bases I change the opacities of Curves 2 and Selective Color layers.
