OK, I'm getting really caught up in the whole bento thing.  I'm linking the way they pack and it's a good way for me to control and balance what I eat.  That said I will never pack anything like www.flickr.com/photos/kickinthehead/3198800049/in/set-72157607227982802/  OMG des this person have TOOOO much time on their hands.

Where did you get the boxes? I'm still looking for the perfect one. Bento is just right for me - little bits of lots of different stuff. Love it!

Here are some of the places I've gotten some from. All most all sell the belt as an add on. You can use a rubberband just fine. Remember most of them are not water tight. Use a lock-n-lock if you need that ( ... )

Oh, my god. Those were amazing. I really really like nori on processed cheese spread as a canvas and art medium, truly inspired! We aren't doing that at Pennsic. I can bring my shape cutters though, we can get a little crazy LOL !
I am going to post on SCA Cooks to see what period foods we can come up with. I know I want to make some Hais before I go up, basically middle eastern energy balls made of ground up pistachios and other nuts, dates, and spices. I'm sure we can come up with some other good period travel foods that will translate into Bento packing styles well.
