So...how was everyone's parents day? I'm sure that you'll find something meaningful out of this event or whatever but just don't let them screw you guys over okay? It's not like I care or anything but getting depressed over your parents isn't going to solve anything, it's better to work on it. I don't think it's that simple. For some students, their family situation may be very complex and difficult. Don't you think saying that is a bit harsh? Especially when some may be only recently orphaned or have a difficult relationship with their parents. There is a reason behind the anxiety some of the students feel at having their parents visit, after all.

I know for most, their family situation is probably perfectly fine, but that isn't the case for everyone, and that's the reality of it. Everyone's situation is different, and how they deal with it is unique to them and their situation.

I'm not saying that people shouldn't take time to let it all out and express their emotions about the parents weekend, but...you don't need to be quite so blunt about it. Everyone will move on and deal with their situations in their own way and in their own time.

I'm just tired of people moping about it and just get on with their boring lives. I know people here are ....wary when it comes to their parents but it won't help anything if that's all they can think about.

That may be true, there might be some students who are having a harder time adjusting then others to their family situation, but being blunt like this won't necessarily help it.

What else do you want me to do? Even if I tell them that they shouldn't worry it always comes out the wrong way.

I'm glad you're concerned about everyone, but you're showing it the wrong way, miss.

Well, I'll do it in a less yell-y, antagonizing way.
