"...okay they were just damaged fuckers. They had serious mental issues."
It's been two years since I last lived in Denver. Back then, there was one particular individual who frequented our meets. He was exactly as you described: mentally challenged and negative social skills. Nobody liked him, but we were too polite to tell him to go away.
Before I left, I took it upon myself to have a conversation with him. Turns out, he was genuinely medically retarded, and had the paperwork to prove it. What's worse, is that he knew he was retarded and couldn't help it. My contempt turned into pity.
I wonder if one of those that got tossed out is the same guy.
Hey man, it's -K from the Rabbit Valley Podcast. Glad you had a good time man, was a pleasure drinking with ya at RMFC! As always, the beer was good and the conversations were great. Here's to you killing it at The Comedy Store! I'll have to send the Rabbitt's out with few bucks to buy you a couple beers on my behalf.
Excellent! I must make it a resolution to make it.
One of these days, if I get around to writing a full set list, I'll have to do a show there. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while now, and I've heard that's a pretty good con.
Just a random thought I had, while reading this. Not saying anything one way or the other. :)
I recall an AC, many moons ago, where I watched you walk through one of the foyers. As always, you seemed friendly and approachable, smiling at everyone. We'd spoken, before, my husband and I bought your CDs and DVDs, we discussed Side 7 (husband being the main admin and owner, and I, at the time, playing a larger role than I do, nowadays). Etc., etc.. I didn't know if any of that was enough to warrant saying "hi", or if I'd just seem like I wanted to bask in the furry-stardom that is you.
The decider, though, was the ... hrm ... entourage, for lack of a better term. I have no idea if they were really with you, or if they were just tailing you. But they felt so "protective circle", like most starlets have. LOL I just didn't want to attempt to strike up a conversation which might or might not fizzle, with an entourage tittering at me. Dunno if that was silly of me, but there we go

A few friends keep trying to drag me out to that con, but until now I hadn't heard much about it one way or another. :P `
