i like this a lot. i don't think i'd read this before. the comparison is good and RayK's voice is spot on. I especially like his name for curling. I want to see a curling game.
I can't remember who I gave this too (Carmen probably), but I saw a card once that said "We should go to Canada and go bowling. That way we can say 'Remember that time we went bowling in Canada'"
I think I'm out of Canadian anecdotes (especially since I've never been there).
Oh wait, so that guy in my volleyball class who always wears a shirt with "Canada!" and the the Canadian flag on it, the one I call Tim Horton, though I think I know is name now (it only took 16 weeks). We were both jumping to spike a ball, colided in mid-air, bounced apart, and both crashed to the floor. it was pretty spectacular (and we scored a point).
okay, now I'm really out of canadian anecdotes. though that last one probably doesn't count.
maybe I'll post this on my journal. really, and entire post about canadian things is even scarier than this comment.

I loved Ray being nice to Turnbull, for Fraser's sake.
Or a smile that could melt all the snow in Chicago. So true.
What a lovely little snippet. Yay snippets!
