2012 space/time alignment - Amazon December Solstice?

Here's a post that I sent to a another forum today and I'm interested in feedback on the idea. I'll paste it below and prey that semagic sets it out ok and without HTML errors. [feel free to remove post if it does and i'll re-do]
In addtion to starting a forum thread on this particular issue we set up a poll to get some data on how people thought things would pan out. The site has hundreds of members so I'll come back and publish the results here [no idea if we can do poll thingies on LJ - apart from those idiotic things that print random 'funny' gibberish that seem to be so popular?!] when it's finished. Also I've registered a community to discuss just the cosmic camp issue and when i get a minute I'll add some more info on the issue - like a map of the area and info on the McKenna partys experience in the la Chorerra region. Feel free to join up anytime in the next 5 years - it may seem ages but it will arrive before you can say HYPERDIMENSIONAL. Time is not only relative - it's all occurring NOW.

Forthose of you who know a little about Terence McKenna's experience inthe Amazon basin you'll know he and his crew [esp his bro Dennis] met an insectiod/UFO type being they called
the transdimensional object at the end of time
...which downloaded info to them whilst on psilocybin.
now I've yet to visit south america but a few years back I got the map out and found the village where a lot of this took place - it's called la Chorerra [aka 'the stream' i believe].
My question is - should a transformation take place in the winter solstice in December 2012, would we be better being in direct 3D spatial and temporal proximity to the area if we wanted to take advantage of whatever occurs. Of course we can say that 2012 is a global/cosmic melding of bio life into higher consciousness and thattherefore where you are in space/time is not important.
However - if you read True Hallucinationsand other comments TM made on the episode - it's clear that they thinkthe region has some ley-line type significance. my hunch s that this isthe case. So given the huge importance of the date - who would bewiling to make long term plansto ensure they are present at this location for the 2012 solstice?? I'm talking like an organised expedition complete with network links to the electronic [as todays kids call it I believe] interweb etc etc.
Are we deluding ourself that this is important? What if it's rightand only individuals who are in the area get to meet the 'other' or logos?
I may begin planning a 2012 cosmic camp. if you don't want to post here - email or PM me.
