Definitely with you on the whole being annoyed at snowstorm drama. Weather exists. You'd think that midwesterners would be over it by now.

Yeah. I've seen 8 feet of Colorado snow and hundred year old Iowan trees encased in solid ice and torn asunder by the wind. It's gonna take a similar meteorological act of God to impress me at this point.

It's not the weather that's going to make this bad, it's the inadequacy of ill-equipped St. Louis to handle it. How hard is it to find money for road salt and a plow or two?!

I have to pack an overnight bag to go to work in Mt. Vernon tomorrow because the library will be open tomorrow night and on Wednesday, regardless of whether or not the roads are "passable". Oh Cornell...

I ended up at the Sleep Inn. I went out to see how 30 was and whether or not I could plausibly get home and didn't want to try driving back into Mt. Vernon to stay with friends in town.
