final four, baby! can't believe we beat kentucky. there were thousands of kids on wisconsin avenue walking/running to the lake. cops blocking the streets. cars honking. people streaking. good times.

[edited:] i never thought i'd be into basketball this much.

marquette can win it all )

It's fucking great isn't it? I was at Gonzaga in 1999 when they went to the Elite Eight, and I've never experienced anything like it ( ... )

it was awesome! i've only been at marquette for two years and i've never seen anything like thursday night or last night. about fifteen minutes into the second half the cops (on motorcycles, squad cars, horses, the works..) were already prepared on 16th street and the television crews were set up along 16th and wells. in addition to all the cops, there were two copters following the students from campus down to the lake.

friday morning, the admin. emailed all the students thanking them for representing marquette well.. i don't know about last night though. guys were streaking and running through the cars and people. it was hilarious and gross all at the same time.

it was quite an experience though! hope we make it to the championship.. the team has come this far:)

Hey Lani,

It's awesome to hear about these rushings of Wisconsin Ave (both today and Thursday). I, unfortunately (;)), didn't get to see them because I've been AT the games!! I've made it to all but the very first vs. Holy Cross, and all I can say is I LOVE MU!! And now it's on to New Orleans!
